What People Say
Real reviews from the App Store. We curated the most representative ones — not the cherry-picked five-stars.
Our days are just full of random thoughts, and MoodMons is like a Pensieve—a perfect spot to just 'dump' all those tiny emotions. Don't underestimate this small habit. By simply offloading your moods there, you'll slowly feel your mind becoming so much more spacious and clear.
Helps me understand my emotions
Such a soothing app, I love it so much
More emotion options now 👏🏻
I've been using it on and off since April, and the app keeps getting better. Today I noticed there are more emotion options! Great update~ Time to leave a good review~
Self care in a fun way!
This app is so cute and so fun, and I genuinely love it!
Recording my mood without the burden
I can jot down how I feel with no pressure, and the AI reads the emotions in what I wrote. It's pretty accurate! And people I know won't find it, so it's perfect for when I just want to dump my feelings somewhere 🤗
I like the word limit!
It's good practice for saying something in just a few simple sentences, and it makes looking back easier too.
Loooovvveee!!
It’s like a mini diary that creates it into a tamagotchi lol
A good journal starter
Easy to use. Suitable for those wanting to write but procrastinate
A really fun little diary
You can leave whatever you want to say, whenever. It's like a little secret space you carry around, and every day it grows a little monster just for you :3
Recommended for procrastinators and perfectionists
It finally captures the thoughts that rush through my head and vanish
Friendly interface, lively sound effects
Write whenever something comes to mind. Easy and pressure-free. May everyone's memories be kept safe
A new way to journal
It suits me. A few short lines, no need to write much, and I still get feedback. It makes me want to keep writing.
Logging my mood every day is great
And after I write a little note about how I feel, it helps analyze it. I think that's amazing!
Love it!!
Somehow I now remember to write things down whether I'm happy or not, so I can see what state I'm usually in. Best part: I really look forward to which little monster I'll get! And seeing other people's monsters and mood diaries is so fun too!
A practical journaling tool
I spend just a few minutes a day recording my day, and the AI analyzes the emotions and themes in my life. After a busy week I can easily look back on what I was thinking each day, and it reminds me of the things I want to do and keep in mind.
So cute!
It doesn't come with the pressure of a diary. I can record how I feel anytime, anywhere, however I like, even just one sentence! The app is smooth to use, and collecting the little monsters is adorable!
A simple write-as-you-go diary
A few simple sentences are enough. No need to think back over the day like with a diary, so it feels much less like a chore and I can record my mood with no pressure 🤩
Cute and soothing
Each big emotion category has lots of smaller ones underneath. Recording my mood regularly really helps me get to know myself. Looking forward to more little monsters 👾
Cute, simple: love it
Note-taking with no pressure. Even when I post, there's no worry about being recognized, approached or judged. It covers everything I wanted (like wanting to share how I feel, but not really wanting people I know to see it). And the developers really listen to everyone's suggestions and keep adding and fixing features. So heartwarming. Thank you to the developer and the team.
Thank you, dev team
No pressure, no goals. It's a diary friend for spending time with myself, the purest kind of companion.
Fun!
Love it! Collecting cute little monsters, and I get to choose whether to nudge myself or not. It makes me want to write more!
A great app for understanding your emotions
After going to counseling, I realized I'd been numb for a long time because I was used to suppressing my emotions. This app takes whatever you jot down and analyzes the emotions behind it, with lots of options to choose from. I believe using it over time will help with emotional awareness, and it records my daily life at the same time.
Super cute
I absolutely love this app! So soothing and so cute. Writing in it actually puts me in a better mood
An amazing app
Love it to bits. I use it every day, and I feel like I know myself a little better
So cute and supportive!!
Really really useful

So much fun
Zero pressure
No pressure, no goals. Just a diary for spending time with myself
Great, fun app for tracking emotions and getting into journaling, looking forward to new features!
This app has so much potential! It’s really fun to use and it keeps making me want to write my entries to get my cute little monster of the day. It’s the best way for getting into journaling. You don’t need to write a lot. A sentence or two is enough. It has so few mental demands. The app has a simple but good-looking UI. You can import a picture for each entry, which is really nice. All essential features of the app are not locked behind a paywall. While you can only write three entries per day, you can write more by basically watching ads. The app doesn’t force you to pay and I really appreciate that. I hope we can get more features in the future, like taking a picture when writing a moment, showing us entries one year ago today/week and years ago today/week, and a way to view random past entries (or any interesting ways for viewing past entries), etc. I’m really looking forward to seeing more updates!

Such a fun way to keep a record. Give it a try!
I like this app
Recording my moods. Great!
The monsters are so cute
I want to collect them every day
A fun app
Simple features, a clear interface, and hatching little monsters is so fun! It makes me want to record my mood!
A place to share my feelings without it being a diary
It's a bit like a secret space to vent, though you can't leave comments for others. I look forward to which creature will appear, kind of like Pokémon.
One week of entries so far
It's really relaxing. I hope I can keep it up
Cute
The interface and sound effects are so cute 😍 and I can write without any pressure. Just one line about the moment is enough. Hatching a monster even gives me a little sense of achievement
So interesting
I write down what happens every day, and I can also keep whatever records I need ✨
Really quite good
The emotions it picks up are spot on too
A mood tracking app I'd absolutely recommend!
This is the best mood tracking app I've used so far. There's no paywall you have to get past before you can try it, and none of that bloated, cram-everything-in feeling. The interface is clean, it's lightweight, and it even syncs automatically to Apple Health. It's just so good to use. Thank you so much for patiently replying to every review and every piece of in-app feedback. Improvements after feedback come incredibly fast. Thank you for caring about your users' experience!
Super useful
I drop little notes into my secret space every day~ and I feel so much better ❤️❤️
A mood journal app
I can write down my mood every day and collect little monsters too. It's really great!!!
Before I know it, I'm opening it to write down my day
I've downloaded other journaling apps before but never had the motivation to keep using them. This one's design feels really different: the UI/UX is super minimal and comfortable, especially with the pixel monsters added in. Every day I look forward to the sentence it sums up for me and the monster I get. The emotion interpretation is interesting too; it shows me what emotions might be behind what happened. An app that suits all ages
A little something every day
A great app. Every day I look forward to what kind of monster I'll get
Love it so much!
Such a soothing app, truly
So interesting
I can share how I feel anytime and become aware of my moods and emotions
Recording life with no pressure 📝
I've only just started, but turning a single simple sentence into a little record card is pretty fun. So far it all feels fresh and relaxing. A really creative app
Love it
The UI is beautiful, and the emotion analysis is spot on
I love the way this app works
I don't have to figure out what emotion I'm feeling today. I just jot down what happened and it turns into a cute little monster. Opening the app and seeing my monsters every day puts me in a better mood ☺️☺️☺️
A mood diary with absolutely no pressure
And the monsters are so cute, they make me want to come back and write a little something every day~
The monsters are so cute
A completely different journaling experience
A super cute mood diary app
For a big P (MBTI) like me, who wants to build a journaling habit but always gives up halfway, being able to record my mood in a single paragraph makes this the best app ever ❤️ And hatching a monster gives me a reason to write. I can't wait to fill four entries and combine them into a one-of-a-kind little monster 👾 One suggestion: sometimes I also want to share my entries as images with others (on different social platforms), but I don't want to give up my cute daily monster either. Could the entry share image maybe include the monster in a corner or something (? The share images for recap cards are really well done 👍🏻 I love being able to make my social media friends look at and talk about my daily monsters ❤️
This app is so beautifully crafted—thoughtful, refined, and full of little surprises in every corner.
I love how it lets me jot down bits of my mood and connects those tiny dots into a full picture of my day.
If you want to track your life but often find it hard to put your feelings into words, this app is perfect for you.
The monsters have such unique designs, but they don't look out of place at all. They add a nice vibe to the clean interface and make the app feel way less lonely.
It's actually made me start looking forward to every emotion and feeling life brings.

FAQ
If you're looking for inspiration, try answering these simple questions:
What did you just do? What happened? For example: "The coffee was great," "The train is so crowded," or "It's finally raining."
Does your body feel anything in particular? For example: "So tired today," "Brain feels empty," or "I just want to lie down."
What's the first keyword that pops into your head? For example: "Grey," "Weightless," or "Stuffy."
Get interpretation: After logging, MoodMons automatically interprets the emotions behind your words.
Hatch a monster: Once you've logged 4 moments, you can generate a wrap-up card. It will feature your unique mood monster and a daily summary.
1. Open a wrap-up card you want to share from Collection.
2. Tap the publish buttonat the top right.
3. Choose which moments to share: on the Publish to Explore screen, tap a moment to toggle privacy. Every moment starts out Public. Public moments are visible to everyone; private moments are only visible to you.
4. Tap the publish buttonat the top right again, and your card appears on Explore.
Before your first post, set up your display name and profile picture. To change a published card, unpublish it first with the same button. Unpublishing removes the card from Explore and deletes its likes.
